Could I ever become an elevator driver? Let’s see-
I don’t think this work exists anywhere in Europe anymore. But it does in Brazil.. So what does an elevator driver do? Well.. he drives the elevator, like pushes the button. I mean how boring can a job get??? And why wasting money on having a person pushing the button when the passengers can push the buttons for free. I never understood that.
When I went to school in Brazil there was two ladies driving the elevators in the school. Every day from 8.30-15-00 . They sat on a chair pushing the buttons, so when we got in the elevator we simply had to say an number instead of pushing it. So maybe it is a little easier, saving a few calories. Wonder if they need a driver’s licence for it. Maybe the reason for the driver is if someone in a wheelchair or a little dwarf comes that isn’t tall enough to reach the buttons? Who knows.. Conclusion: I probably would be able to do it.. Who wouldn’t? :P Its after all a very easy job, and if there was NO other job and I HAD to take it..sure, at least for a while.
