Katy Perry - "Thinking of You" (Video Premiere)

This is actually an old song that she released before her breakthrough song "I kissed a girl", but never got noticed. The first music video was released in 2007 and surfaced onto YouTube in May 2008. you can see the old version below.

Perry stated in an interview that the aim of the video was never to get a commercial release, but that it is just a simple video "made by a friend".

It was revealed by Perry on her official blog that she had already started filming a second and official music video in the first week of December 2008, directed by Melina. The video premiered exclusively on iTunes on December 23, 2008.

Rihanna To Re-Release 'Good Girl Gone Bad'...Again!!!!!

Not content with milking her break-through album "Good Girl Gone Bad" within an inch of its life, Rihanna is set to release the LP for the third time (yes, the THIRD time!) next month.

Yes, its a good album, but come on!! You`ve been milking this album waaaaay too long, its enough now.. "Good Girl Gone Bad: The Remixes" features remixed versions of 12 tracks from the album's first and second releases including "Disturbia", "Take A Bow" and "Umbrella".

Beyoncè Video Premiere: "Halo" and "Diva"

Beyoncè continues to release two singles at the same time, one ballad and one more up-tempo. She also continues with her black and white theme on one of the videos... Not sure if I like that so much, kind of boring to me. B has done very well with her two first singles, "If I were A Boy" and "Single Ladies". Let`s see if her 3rd and 4rth single will do the same..

"Diva"

"Halo"

Mariah Carey - "Right To Dream" (New Music Video)

The video for 'Right To Dream', the signature song from Mariah Carey's new movie 'Tennessee', premiered within the last hour. Carey co-wrote the cut with legend Willie Nelson specifically for the movie - clips of which make up the music video, as well as footage of Mariah in the studio recording the track.

Lilly Allen - The Fear (New Music Video)

Boring song, and video. 3 points.

The song is a parody that discusses everything that she wants and all the things she would do to have a lot of money and be famous. The song has been praised as the songs subject is based on the negative side of celebrity culture, rather than the positive which makes it more unique compared to typical lyrics in pop music today which normally glamorises the celebrity lifestyle. The song is very different from her last songs, marking a more electropop sound and direction for her 2nd album, and less pop/ska like her previous songs and singles.

Lily Allen released the song on her MySpace page sometime in August 2008 and it has since been released onto the popular video sharing website, YouTube, where it has had over 180,000 hits as of December 9, 2008.

Remember The Hit?

Chumbawamba- Tubthumping

Chumbawamba are an English band who began their career playing anarcho-punk, but over a 25-year career have gone on to play music ranging from pop-influenced dance music, a cappella/choral music and world music to acoustic folk music. The band are best known for their song "Tubthumping" as well as "Top Of The World (Ole, Ole, Ole)", "On eBay", "Jacob's Ladder" and, most recently, "Add Me". They are originally influenced by anarchist politics and an irreverent attitude to authority, but this has grown to concerns about domestic violence, religion, racism, fascism, war and consumerism.

"Tubthumping" went to #2 on the UK Singles Chart, #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. The cover art for the single is based on the logo for the manufacturing company of Arm & Hammer. The song is often misnamed as "I Get Knocked Down".

-Source : Wikipedia.

It was one of the big ones of the 90`s.

Britney Spears: For The Record.

What could be better than making an documantary of one of the biggest pop stars of ALL TIME? Britney Spears let Mtv`s camera team follow her for sixty days.. Her documentary aired on Sunday and she shares more or less everything everyone has been wanted to know. I Found the much talked about documentary on Youtube, I would think that it will be deleted very soon, but I posted it anyways:

Ludacris - One More Drink (New Music video)

I like rap- videos, because they always describe the lyrics in the video which is funny.. "One More Drink" is the second official single off Ludacris' upcoming album, Theater of the Mind. The song co-stars T-Pain.

The "One More Drink" music video is very funny. The song is not that good, but I like the video so its a 4 from me.

Will.I.Am - Its a New Day (New MUsic Video)

"It's a New Day" is the newa single from will.i.am. It was released on November 7, 2008. He performed the song for the first time on the The Oprah Winfrey Show. The song was written as a tribute to President-elect Barack Obama's victory. - As you can see in the video..

Thondrè Reviews New Music Videos

So I decided to start reviewing the newest music videos and give them points. 1-6.

First up is the new single to Leona Lewis: "Run". Its actually a cover, it was the second single from Snow Patrol's third album, Final Straw, released in 2003. It brought the band its first taste of mainstream success, reaching #5 on the UK charts.

The music video for "Run" was filmed in South Africa, it premiered on the 25th November. Very powerful ballad, but very boring. She just runs around in the woods like a monkey, Leona looks great though but I give it a 2.

Ne-Yo`s new single is called Mad, and its one of my personal favorites from his album Year of the Gentleman.

The Video premiered at Aol November 25th. In this video for his latest Stargate-produced single, Ne-Yo attempts to make up with his girl, but his efforts are proving to be easier said than done, very typical. We`ve all have seen it before, nothing special in this video. And he always stays into a wall with his hat trying to look cool in his videos... whats up with that? It`s a 3 also.

Last video is P!nk with Sober.. She wrote this song at a party hosted at her home, where everyone was drunk or drinking except for her, and she wanted them all to leave. She went to the beach and had a line in her head saying "How do I feel so good sober?"...

Ok, So I`ve always liked her videos, and this one was awesome also. I never was a fan of the song, but I started to like it better when I saw the video, which is a good sign. The music video was filmed in the last days of September in Sweden. It was released in November 25th. Pink looks great in the video, even with white hair... oo, wait! Is she kissing herself?.. That was weird, but very hot too..It`s a strong 5 from me.

Britney And Madonna On Stage...Again.

Britney and madonnna actually performed together on stage again, though this time it was no kissing.. well only on the hand. Britney actually wear clothes and she looked very mature. It took place in Los Angeles for Madonnas 'Sticky & Sweet' tour.

Justin Timberlake was also in the building. He joined Madonna onstage for '4 Minutes' later in the show. Oh how 'interesting' it must have been backstage.. ;)

Rihanna News.

Rihanna had a hard time on stage last night. She fainted onstage while performing her smash 'Umbrella' with Chris Brown during a concert in Sydney, Australia.

As seen in the video above, the 20 year old star is visibly clutching her stomach in pain and stumbles off stage into the hands of her handlers, while boyfriend Brown completes the song.
Her camp have since confirmed that she is ok after being taken to the hospital following the occurrence. Let`s hope she gets better soon!

T.I. Feat Rihanna - Live Your Life (New Music Video)

I`ve been waiting for this premiere and it turned out great, the video was cool and the song is awesome. "Live Your Life" was released as the second single from T.I`s album "Paper trail". It officially premiered at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards during T.I.'s performance. This is T.I's third Billboard Hot 100 number one single in the United States. The song contains a rendition of the O-Zone song "Dragostea din tei," mostly known in the United States for the Numa Numa Internet fad, but a number one single throughout Europe, wich I remember too well. I used to hate that song, however this version beat O-Zone down below!!!

Hilary Duff - Reach Out (New Music Video)

"Reach Out" is a dance-pop song performed by Hilary Duff. It is scheduled for commercial release in November 2008. It is being released to coincide with Duff's compilation album, Best of Hilary Duff. You might recognize some parts of the song, that cus It samples Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus". There are two versions of the song; the album version which is currently on her official YouTube channel and will be featured on the album and the single version features up and coming rapper The Prophet which is featured in the music video.

Just popping up everywhere, just singing to them, and it’s got an I Am Legend feel. Sometimes you see me on the street by myself completely, and it’s pretty cool.”

Rihanna - Disturbia (New Video)

"Disturbia" is a song written by Andre Merritt, Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Robert Allen for the re-release of Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad, and is the third single from the re-release, following "Take a Bow" and "If I Never See Your Face Again" and the seventh single from the actual album. The song was produced by Brian Kennedy with background vocals by Chris Brown and Andre Merritt. Contrary to popular belief, Rihanna uses an Auto-Tune, not a vocoder throughout the song. Watch the video below.

The video for Disturbia was filmed late June 2008. The edgy video begins with Rihanna spinning in a chair, followed by a scene where she is trapped in a cage, wearing a short blonde wig and catlike light blue contact lenses which cover her scleras entirely. There are additional scenes of her on a throne-like chair covered in chains, flanked by two dancers. When the chorus begins, Rihanna is lifted into the air by her dancers in front of a bright light. Throughout this portion of the video, there are shots of her on a table wearing heavy black eye make up and dancing inside a bed frame.

Then, Rihanna is shown leaning against a wooden post, her arms bound to a pole and her face and shoulders covered in dirt; followed by a scene where she is laying on a sofa with a mannequin. There are then shots of her in a small room, her arms stuck inside holes in the wall as a tarantula crawls onto her shoulder. During the breakdown of the song, Rihanna is shown in a concrete room with a low ceiling, sitting in a chair while her arms and legs are chained to the floor. The video then ends in the same atmosphere it began.[4] The video was released to iTunes on 22 July 2008. The Video has so far reached number one on the iTunes Music Video Chart in the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and the United States, 2 in New Zealand, Germany, Canada and 5 in amongst others...

Who`s The New Girl?

Let me introduce the new girl. At the age of 20, musical prodigy and accomplished singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan already has nine years worth of experience under her belt in the music industry. She’s anything but a typical singer and just one listen to her voice will make you understand why some of music’s most respected artists like Stevie Wonder, Fantasia, Omarion, Faith Evans, Monica and Missy Elliott have all praised the legend in the making. Her voice is very powerful and nice to listen to.

Just a brief timeline of some of Sullivan’s musical accomplishments is enough to make any artist blush. At 11, she made her national television debut on Showtime at the Apollo, where she sang “Accept What God Allows.” While most artists recount always being absorbed with music while they were younger, Sullivan’s first introduction to music began at church. “I remember singing like around five or six in the choir,” she says before recalling a particular incident. “I was in the junior choir, but I was the first child admitted into the young adult choir. I was so proud of myself and with the support of my family and church, I began singing.” As Sullivan got older, she began polishing her craft as well gaining an appreciation for other artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Mary J. Blige and Donny Hathaway.

At 13, she was asked to sing with musical legend Stevie Wonder. Of their meeting, she says, “When you meet Stevie Wonder, it’s a great feeling,” before adding, “I was young though, so I didn’t understand it until I got older. I started thinking like, ‘Oh my God! I sang with Stevie Wonder when I was like 13.’” That was only the beginning. She began wowing audiences with her live sets in her hometown of Philadelphia at the popular Black Lily, where artists such as Jill Scott, Musiq, Kindred the Family Soul and Floetry performed before they became national recording artists. Soon after her continued jaw-dropping performances, she was signed to Jive Records personally by the president of the label, Clive Calder, where she began working on her debut album with the likes of heavyweight producers Missy Elliott, Timbaland and production duo Cool & Dre, to name a few.

Developing an effective marketing strategy that would allow a younger audience to identify with Sullivan’s vocal maturity as an artist proved to be difficult for Jive and after three years of singing with the label, the two parted ways. “I can’t say I wasn’t sad. I was very sad,” she says, but being the strong-willed and determined individual that she is hasn’t stopped her grind.

You can find her name on background credits for the Missy Elliott produced tracks off of Fantasia’s debut album Free Yourself and songwriting credits on two tracks from Christina Milian’s last album, So Amazin’, including the album’s first single, “Say I,” which features Young Jeezy. The single reached #1 on BET’s 106 & Park & Aolmusic.com, #2 on the World’s Singles Top 40, #13 on the U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Tracks, #21 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #4 on the UK singles chart. She has also been traveling up and down the East coast writing/recording with producers such as Cool & Dre, Stevie J. & Havoc, Kwame, The Heavyweights, Anthony Bell and others to name a few. Last July, she also recorded material with 50 Cent for his upcoming album, Curtis, as well as guest appearing on two songs from producer-turned-rapper Dre’s (Cool & Dre) upcoming solo album, The Trunk. In late March of 2007, Jazmine started a new chapter in her career, signing with Clive Davis’ J Records in which she will work closely with one of the label’s most successful A&Rs, Peter Edge (Alicia Keys, Dido, Jamie Foxx), on her official debut album.

Now she just released her music video for her debut single "Need U Bad". featuring Missy Elliott. The infectious reggae-tinged single, written by Jazmine and produced by Missy and Lamb. Missy also appear in the video. Enjoy below.' .. oh yeah. I also added the lyrics;)

Oh!

If you let me back in
I would sho'nuff never never let you go again (hey baby)
I was so foolish to ever leave your side,
Searching for what was right before my eyes
It was me who didnt realize
'till it was gone but now I know I need you in my life

Boy I need you bad as my heartbeat, (bad like the food I eat)
Bad as the air I breath, (baby I want you bad)
I need you bad I can't take this pain, (bad I can't take this pain)
Boy I'm 'bout to go insane (baby I need you bad)
I need you,I need you,
What I gotta do (baby I want you bad)
I need you,I need you,
Do it all for you (baby I need you)

Baby there's nothing I wouldn't do
To get back what we had when love was true
(oh oh oh)
No lie I'd give up all I got
Just so I could get back in my spot (Ooooh)

Boy I need you bad as a heartbeat, (bad like the food I eat)
Bad like the air I breath, (baby I want you bad)
I need you bad I can't take this pain, (bad I can't take this pain)
Boy I'm bout to go insane (baby I need you bad)
cause I need you,
I need you,
What I gotta do (baby I want you bad)
I need you,I need you,
Do it all for you (baby I need you)

You gotta get him back say, oh oh oh oh

Cause if wrong aint no better
Two you are together say, oh oh oh oh
