Let`s Learn More About The Growing Duo !

I introduce: Brick & Lace, they are an Jamaican R&B duo consisting of sisters, Nyanda and Nailah Thourborne. They are signed to Akon's Kon Live Distribution, 180 Entertainment, and Geffen Records.
Nyanda and Nailah Thourborne were born in Kingston, Jamaica, to a Jamaican father and an American mother. They have claimed that they always wanted to be singers. "We are a hybrid," says Nailah. The duo also appeared in many mixtapes before they were eventually signed on 180 Entertainment.
Brick & Lace started working on their debut album in 2004, naming it Love Is Wicked in early 2005. They worked with many producers, who were impressed by their talent. They released their first single, "Never Never", late 2006. Watch the video below.
They performed in Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape Tour on May 2007 in Camden, NJ. They filled in for Lady Sovereign, who didn't show - which was good for them.
Brick and Lace appeared on Obie Trice's 2nd studio album Second Round's On Me on the track Jamaican Girl. They are also featured on Nicole Scherzinger's single "Puakenikeni" of her album Her Name Is Nicole.
"Get That Clear (Hold Up)" is third single by Brick & Lace from their debut album Love Is Wicked. The single was produced by Akon.
50 Cent vs Fat Joe!
It`s war ya`ll! OK. So here`s the thing:
In 2005, Fat Joe released his sixth album All or Nothing, noted for featuring the popular diss track "My Fofo" aimed at fellow New York rapper 50 Cent, who had dissed Joe for recording with Ja Rule.
Consequently, 50 Cent attacked Fat Joe in his 2005 song "Piggy Bank" from his album The Massacre. Fat Joe, subsequently, attacked 50's street credibility and called him a "coward" on a phone interview with Kay Slay of New York City hip-hop radio station WQHT. Fat Joe also released a track criticizing 50 Cent in his 2005 album All or Nothing titled "My FoFo" . What many considered odd, in the same year that Mase worked with Fat Joe, he worked with 50 and he was in 50 Cent's video Window Shopper.

At the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, while Fat Joe introduced the reggaeton act featuring Daddy Yankee, Joe remarked, "I feel safe with all the police protection, courtesy of G-Unit." Shortly after, when MTV switched to a commercial break, 50 Cent directed an obscenity at Joe, and 50 Cent jumped on stage as Fat Joe was leaving.
In September of 2007, on the BET program Rap City, 50 Cent again criticized Fat Joe, who responded in early January of 2008 on Rap City that 50 Cent's criticism was nonsense and that he was just trying to re-introduce the earlier feud from 2005 from 50 Cent's song "Piggy Bank". Later in January, 50 Cent released another Fat Joe diss, called "Southside Nigga (I'm Leaving)".

Since the beginning of 2008, Fat Joe and 50 Cent have taken blows back and forth to each other. Thisis50.com is the website that reports most of the news and disses 50 Cent puts out, while Fat Joe has been responding to most things 50 has said, and Fat Joe also says that he will be responding to the attacks by 50 Cent and Papoose, saying that Fat Joe got into a fight with Papoose in Cassidy's hotel room; He will be also addressing many other things soon.
On March 20, 2008, shortly after record sales were released for Fat Joe's new album The Elephant in the Room, 50 Cent released a video online, which features the "funeral" of Fat Joe, which shows 50 Cent crying in the fake footage. 50 Cent then talks about Fat Joe's record sales, and states that he ended Fat Joe's career (like he says he did to Ja Rule's) and that his mixtape blew out Fat Joe's album. Watch it below.

Dru Hill Reunite...Then Break Up 10 Minutes Later!

Remember Dru Hill from the 90`s? No? Let me remind you:
Dru Hill is an American singing group, whose repertoire included R&B, soul, and gospel music. Dru Hill recorded seven Top 40 hits, and is best known for the R&B #1 hits "In My Bed", "Never Make a Promise", and "How Deep is Your Love". Tamir "Nokio" Ruffin was the group's founder and leader; his bandmates included main lead singer Mark "Sisqó" Andrews, Larry "Jazz" Anthony, and James "Woody Rock" Green. Dru Hill released two successful LPs before separating for a period from late 1999 to 2002, during which time Sisqó and Woody released solo albums. While Woody's Soul Music LP was a moderate success in the gospel music industry, Sisqó's Unleash the Dragon LP and its hit single "Thong Song" were major successes, and established Sisqó as a household name outside of Dru Hill.
In My Bed.
Yesterday Dru Hill went to the radio station WERQ-FM 92.3, which is in their hometown of Baltimore, to announce that they were coming back together But Woody confirmed live on the radio that he will not be returing to the group. Sisqo then walked out of the radio station saying as he left “Hell naw, you could’ve told us this yesterday,” he yells. “When y’all ready to do this for real, holla at me!” Its so funny! You can see the video from the interview below.

Janet #1 on Billboard!

Dislodging Jack Johnson from the top after a three-week reign, Janet Jackson's "Discipline" bows at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. The Island Def Jam set moved 181,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Soundscan, becoming the artist's sixth chart-topper.
Her last two Virgin albums, 2004's "Damita Jo" and 2006's "20 Y.O.," both debuted and peaked at No. 2, though "Damita" started with 381,000 while "20 Y.O." began with 296,000. Johnson's "Sleep Through the Static" (Brushfire) falls 1-3 with 92,000, a 12% sales decline.

The fact that 'Discipline' is number 1 is a PR dream come true for Janes. In all fairness to her, much of the promo all started when the album was released, so i guess the numbers reflect that. Good luck J! And to feed ya more with JJ, here`s her latest hit: "Feedback"
Remember The Band?!?
Remember that Scottish band who ruled the charts in the 90`s? Very many think Texas is an artist, cus` the vocalist Sharleen Eugene Spiteri is really the only one we see in media, but it`s a band.
Texas are a rock band from Glasgow, Scotland. They were founded by Johnny McElhone in 1986 and had their performing debut in March 1988 at Scotland's University of Dundee. Texas scored a UK hit in 1989 with their debut single "I Don't Want a Lover." This was taken from their debut album Southside, which went on to sell two million copies worldwide. The follow-up albums Mothers Heaven (1991) and Ricks Road (1993) were less successful and failed to provide the band with any further big hit singles in the UK. Although these albums sold well in France and Spain, this was not sufficient for the record company, meaning the band faced a lot of pressure with their fourth release. In the meantime Ellen DeGeneres had approached the band, and Sharleen Spiteri and Ally McErlaine flew to the U.S. to re-record a song from the third album, "So Called Friend," which went on to become the theme song to DeGeneres' US sitcom Ellen.
In 1997 Texas came back with "Say What You Want"; this became their biggest hit single yet, peaking at #3. The album White on Blonde followed, entering at #1, where it would return a year later. Other hit singles from the album were "Halo," "Black Eyed Boy," and "Put Your Arms Around Me"; a reworking of "Say What You Want" with Method Man was released alongside album track "Insane."
The band's fifth album, The Hush, was released in 1999 with the lead-off single "In Our Lifetime" which was a huge hit in the UK reaching number 4 and was included in the "Notting Hill" Soundtrack. This album went straight into the UK album charts at #1 like its predecessor. The second single, "Summer Son," became a massive hit across Europe reaching the Top 5 in the UK and France , also making #1 in Croatia and Lebanon, leading the album to become their best selling so far.
In 2000, a greatest-hits album was released that included three new songs ("In Demand", "Inner Smile," and "Guitar Song"). The video for "In Demand" featured actor Alan Rickman, and in the video for the anthemic follow-up single, co-written by Gregg Alexander, Spiteri dressed up as Elvis Presley. "Inner Smile" was a big hit in Europe and was later featured prominently in the 2002 feature film Bend It Like Beckham. The song "Like Lovers (Holding On)" is featured during the ending credits of the animated feature film E.
In September 2002, Spiteri gave birth to her daughter Mysty Kyd. However, this did not prevent her from working on another album. Careful What You Wish For was released in late 2003 and was promoted by the lead single "Carnival Girl." This was a very different style from previous singles and featured the rapper Kardinal Offishall. Unfortunately, many disliked this perceived change in direction, and although the album was more traditional pop, it sold far less than the previous three releases. A ballad, "I'll See It Through," was released at Christmas time, but by then the project was dead and buried.
Carnival Girl.
The band returned in mid-2005 with the single "Getaway," which entered the UK Top 10, the single "Can't Resist" and album Red Book followed in the autumn. On Red Book the band collaborated with The Blue Nile singer Paul Buchanan on a track called "Sleep," which entered the UK charts at #6 in January 2006.
In 2005 Sharleen Spiteri was featured in the song "Stirb nicht vor mir // Don't die before I do" by the German band Rammstein on the album Rosenrot.
On September 24, 2007 the band released The BBC Sessions, including radio sessions spanning from 1989 to 2005, with extensive liner notes and interviews with Sharleen Spiteri. Cover songs include Elmore James' "It Hurts Me Too", the Beatles' "I've Got a Feeling", and Ashford & Simpson's "You're All I Need to Get By."
No one knows the future of Texas, but who knows- maybe they`ll be back? At least YOu know everything about their past now!

Let`s Learn More About The Growing Artist !

Terius Youngdell Nash better known by his stage name The-Dream, is an American singer and songwriter. He rose to fame following the writing of hits including Rihanna's "Umbrella" and J. Holiday's "Bed".
Born in North Carolina and raised in Atlanta by his grandfather, The-Dream wrote songs for B2K, 3LW, Mýa and Nivea, before sending Rihanna "Umbrella," which he wrote in a matter of twelve minutes! And the song was originally made for Britney Spears, but the writer changed his mind and passed it to Mary J Blige. Which was unable to hear the song in full due to her obligations to the Grammys at the time. Def Jam representatives remained eager to secure the song for Rihanna, the writers themselves waited the weekend for an answer from Ms. Blige. But Finally they gave it to Rihanna, and the The Dream does not regret today!

After the major success of "Umbrella", Nash began working on various projects, as well as completing his debut studio album, Love Hate which was written and recorded in only nine days and co-produced by his writing and production partner, Tricky Stewart.
