Rihanna - Disturbia (New Video)

"Disturbia" is a song written by Andre Merritt, Rihanna, Chris Brown, and Robert Allen for the re-release of Rihanna's third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad, and is the third single from the re-release, following "Take a Bow" and "If I Never See Your Face Again" and the seventh single from the actual album. The song was produced by Brian Kennedy with background vocals by Chris Brown and Andre Merritt. Contrary to popular belief, Rihanna uses an Auto-Tune, not a vocoder throughout the song. Watch the video below.

The video for Disturbia was filmed late June 2008. The edgy video begins with Rihanna spinning in a chair, followed by a scene where she is trapped in a cage, wearing a short blonde wig and catlike light blue contact lenses which cover her scleras entirely. There are additional scenes of her on a throne-like chair covered in chains, flanked by two dancers. When the chorus begins, Rihanna is lifted into the air by her dancers in front of a bright light. Throughout this portion of the video, there are shots of her on a table wearing heavy black eye make up and dancing inside a bed frame.

Then, Rihanna is shown leaning against a wooden post, her arms bound to a pole and her face and shoulders covered in dirt; followed by a scene where she is laying on a sofa with a mannequin. There are then shots of her in a small room, her arms stuck inside holes in the wall as a tarantula crawls onto her shoulder. During the breakdown of the song, Rihanna is shown in a concrete room with a low ceiling, sitting in a chair while her arms and legs are chained to the floor. The video then ends in the same atmosphere it began.[4] The video was released to iTunes on 22 July 2008. The Video has so far reached number one on the iTunes Music Video Chart in the United Kingdom, France, Australia, and the United States, 2 in New Zealand, Germany, Canada and 5 in amongst others...

Who`s The New Girl?

Let me introduce the new girl. At the age of 20, musical prodigy and accomplished singer/songwriter Jazmine Sullivan already has nine years worth of experience under her belt in the music industry. She’s anything but a typical singer and just one listen to her voice will make you understand why some of music’s most respected artists like Stevie Wonder, Fantasia, Omarion, Faith Evans, Monica and Missy Elliott have all praised the legend in the making. Her voice is very powerful and nice to listen to.

Just a brief timeline of some of Sullivan’s musical accomplishments is enough to make any artist blush. At 11, she made her national television debut on Showtime at the Apollo, where she sang “Accept What God Allows.” While most artists recount always being absorbed with music while they were younger, Sullivan’s first introduction to music began at church. “I remember singing like around five or six in the choir,” she says before recalling a particular incident. “I was in the junior choir, but I was the first child admitted into the young adult choir. I was so proud of myself and with the support of my family and church, I began singing.” As Sullivan got older, she began polishing her craft as well gaining an appreciation for other artists, such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn, Lauryn Hill, Brandy, Mary J. Blige and Donny Hathaway.

At 13, she was asked to sing with musical legend Stevie Wonder. Of their meeting, she says, “When you meet Stevie Wonder, it’s a great feeling,” before adding, “I was young though, so I didn’t understand it until I got older. I started thinking like, ‘Oh my God! I sang with Stevie Wonder when I was like 13.’” That was only the beginning. She began wowing audiences with her live sets in her hometown of Philadelphia at the popular Black Lily, where artists such as Jill Scott, Musiq, Kindred the Family Soul and Floetry performed before they became national recording artists. Soon after her continued jaw-dropping performances, she was signed to Jive Records personally by the president of the label, Clive Calder, where she began working on her debut album with the likes of heavyweight producers Missy Elliott, Timbaland and production duo Cool & Dre, to name a few.

Developing an effective marketing strategy that would allow a younger audience to identify with Sullivan’s vocal maturity as an artist proved to be difficult for Jive and after three years of singing with the label, the two parted ways. “I can’t say I wasn’t sad. I was very sad,” she says, but being the strong-willed and determined individual that she is hasn’t stopped her grind.

You can find her name on background credits for the Missy Elliott produced tracks off of Fantasia’s debut album Free Yourself and songwriting credits on two tracks from Christina Milian’s last album, So Amazin’, including the album’s first single, “Say I,” which features Young Jeezy. The single reached #1 on BET’s 106 & Park & Aolmusic.com, #2 on the World’s Singles Top 40, #13 on the U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Tracks, #21 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and #4 on the UK singles chart. She has also been traveling up and down the East coast writing/recording with producers such as Cool & Dre, Stevie J. & Havoc, Kwame, The Heavyweights, Anthony Bell and others to name a few. Last July, she also recorded material with 50 Cent for his upcoming album, Curtis, as well as guest appearing on two songs from producer-turned-rapper Dre’s (Cool & Dre) upcoming solo album, The Trunk. In late March of 2007, Jazmine started a new chapter in her career, signing with Clive Davis’ J Records in which she will work closely with one of the label’s most successful A&Rs, Peter Edge (Alicia Keys, Dido, Jamie Foxx), on her official debut album.

Now she just released her music video for her debut single "Need U Bad". featuring Missy Elliott. The infectious reggae-tinged single, written by Jazmine and produced by Missy and Lamb. Missy also appear in the video. Enjoy below.' .. oh yeah. I also added the lyrics;)

Boy I'm 'bout to go insane (baby I need you bad)

To get back what we had when love was true

Just so I could get back in my spot (Ooooh)

Bad like the air I breath, (baby I want you bad)
I need you bad I can't take this pain, (bad I can't take this pain)
Boy I'm bout to go insane (baby I need you bad)

What`s Da New Stuff:

British paper THE SUN reported earlier that singer Britney Spears has been asked to shoot a video for Madonna's "Sticky & Sweet Tour". Madonna Tribe News confirm this exclusively with further details:
"Singer Britney Spears has indeed been asked to shoot a video for Madonna's new tour and it's not going to be a video interlude, but a video used while Madonna is singing on stage. The video is for the exciting new live version of Human Nature, that as previously revealed by MadonnaTribe it's the third song on the Sticky & Sweet tour setlist. The video will be directed by the one and only Steven Klein, that as previously reported here, will take care of two brand videos for the show, one for an oldie (this one) and one for a new track off Hard Candy. The original idea behind Human Nature 2008 was to give out an updated version of the song by showing the artists, mainly troubled young hollywood stars, that are being treated as "bitches" by the world press and media, in a similar way they did with Madonna back in 1992 when she the main target of such media attentions. But Britney is now the main star of the screen video, and while musically Human Nature 2008 originally contained spoken samples of Gimme More, now the concept has been expanded even more with samples of the track, making it longer and cooler and it can easily be described as a sort Human Nature/Gimme More mash up!"

The Queen Of Pop, 49, is set to record a video with Britney, 26, in New York tomorrow. The footage will be broadcast on huge screens as part of Madge's Sticky and Sweet tour, which kicks off on August 23. Madonna has also invited Britney to appear in person on some of the world tour dates. A source close to Britney revealed: "They are recording a video together on Sunday that will provide the backdrop for part of Madonna's show.

Suga- SugaTime reports that during their performance at Liverpool's Summer Pops Festival, the Sugababes officially revealed that they will have a NEW SINGLE out for the summer time!

The track has already been recorded and mixed, but the girls weren't allowed to reveal the title just yet. They did however describe it as 'amazing'! We should be expecting details on the song VERY soon.
