Britney Spears - "Radar" (New Music Video)

Here is the new single from Britney, and the video leaked today. Not sure if this is the final version tho. Radar is a bonus track on her latest album Circus. I don't understand why she release it from the "circus" album when the song was originally on "blackout". But I guess it's good PR for both of her albums.

Marie Digby is already a star in some counties. Digby is recognized on YouTube for her simple popular music covers, which include Linkin Park, The Game, Rihanna, Maroon 5, and Nelly Furtado, as well as her original compositions. She has over 170,000 subscribers and her channel has been viewed over 4 million times. As of May 2009, she is the 11th most subscribed musician on YouTube, ahead of names like Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Tay Zonday.

Pussycat Dolls - "Hush Hush"

The Dolls released this video for their single "Hush Hush" some days ago. If you've heard the song from their album you'd notice the video version of the song is more up-beat. Only the start is like the song on the album, but the song is much cooler like this. Also the Video had much going on, from naked Nicole til' disco dancing with a "I Will Survive" twist in it.

Freemasons & Sophie Ellis-Bextor - "Heartbreak" (New Music Video)

It's been a while since we've heard anything good from this British pop star. Since the success of her single "Murder on a dancefloor" she has been released three albums, but nothing really catchy enough to rock the charts like that song did.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor just announced that her fourth studio album was due out in late summer 2008 on 11 April 2008. Sophie's forthcoming new single is collaborating with Freemasons and you can watch the brand new vid above.

Happy birthday, Kingston! :)

So little Kingston is a lucky guy, Why? Because mom Gwen Stefani sang "Happy Birthday" to her son onstage at the No Doubt concert in Salt Lake City last night - midnight (on the east coast, at least), to be exact! How adorable is that? And it looks like he is enjoying being in the spotlight, maybe he'll go in his moms footsteps one day? Watch it in the video above.

Remember e-type? I'm sure you do, at least if you are European. Bo Martin Erik Eriksson is his real name, born in Uppsala, Sweden.

"Set the World on Fire" is a 1994 song, it's one of the singles from his debut album Made In Sweden and was a hit in several countries, particularly in Sweden where it reached number 2.

The song was released first in 1993, then in 1995. It also featured twice on the album Made in Sweden : in the original studio version and in an acoustic version. Eventually four other singles were released from the album: the ballad Do You Always (Have To Be Alone) and Russian Lullaby. The album itself was released in November 1994 and made it up to #2 on the album-chart. Over 100,000 copies were sold in Sweden and the album was listed for 26 weeks.

No Doubt is back ya'll!!!!

It's hard to believe that the last time we had a new album from No Doubt was back in 2001! And their last video was "It`s My Life" back in 03. But Gwen Stefani went onto work on her solo career which turned out to be a great success!! Now reunited the band is set to tour in the summer with Paramore (Which has gain so much credits for being the "Next" No Doubt, funny!" , The Sounds, Janelle Monáe, and Bedouin Soundclash while working on their new album set for a 2010 release! You can see video and updates on their website. For now there is a newly leaked track titled "Stand And Deliver" which is a cover of 80's song by Adam and the Ants that definitely reminds me of how much I missed them. I`m not sure if this is a single or not, but its cool, unfortunately wasnt I able to add it here... yet

And I'm doing a "REMEMBER THIS?" when we're first talking about them...

"Just a Girl" is a song written by Gwen Stefani and Tom Dumont for No Doubt's third album Tragic Kingdom. The song was released in 1995 as the album's lead single and helped the band break into mainstream music, peaking at number twenty-three on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.

No Doubt is an American rock band from Anaheim, California, founded in 1986.(when I was born :p) The ska-pop sound of their first album, No Doubt, failed to make waves due to the popularity of the grunge movement at the time... But they didn't give up that easy. The band's diamond-certified album "Tragic Kingdom" helped to launch the ska revival of the 1990s, and "Don't Speak", the third single from the album, set a record when it spent sixteen weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart.

The group released its next album, Return of Saturn, four years later, but despite positive reviews, the album was considered a commercial failure. Fifteen months later, the band reappeared with Rock Steady, which incorporated reggae and dancehall music into their work. The album was primarily recorded in Jamaica and featured collaborations with Jamaican artists Bounty Killer, Sly and Robbie, and Lady Saw. The album produced two Grammy-winning singles, "Hey Baby" and "Underneath It All".

Eminem - We Made You (New Music Video)

Yeah!! He is back.

Mr. Marshall Matters hasn't released an album since 04's "Encore" but that doesn't mean he hasn't been busy. He has been working on his sixth studio album "Relapse" for some time now and it's finally set to be released on May 19th!!

In December "Crack a Bottle" leaked on the net, leading everyone to think that this would be the first single. - Including me, and it was a good song too, but it was released just as a promotional single and was able to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 thanks to digital downloads!!

Here we have the first official single titled "We Made You". I Love Eminem, and his videos are always hilarious, he takes the lyrics and make them come to life in a funny, insulting way that I cant stop loving. And its about the celebs that make headlines. Great stuff! Bet I see him on #1 in a little bit, as usual! :)

Wild Light - "California On My Mind" (New Music Video)

I like the brand new indie band Wild Light. They just released the new single "California On My Mind," an instantly catchy song from their debut album, Adult Nights, with effortless harmonies and bouncy, jangly guitars that sounds tailor-made for a road trip down the highway with the windows rolled all the way down and the sunroof open..

The video for the track is a perfect little clip with a Marilyn Monroe lookalike and the band jamming away in black and white. :)

Remember This?

It's Lou Bega or David Lubega which is his real name. He is an Italo-German and also Ugandan musician famous for his song "Mambo No. 5". I would call him a "one hit wonder. "Mambo nr 5" is a remake of the Perez Prado instrumental from 1952. Bega added his own words to the song and sampled the original version extensively.

This was his first single and became an instant worldwide hit charting at #1 in most European countries including Germany, UK and France and at #3 in the United States. In France "Mambo No. 5" spent twenty weeks at #1, which is an unbroken record to date!! It was also used by the British television broadcaster, Channel 4 for their coverage of Test Match cricket between 1999 and 2005.

On July 19, 1999 he released the album A Little Bit of Mambo. It peaked at #3 in the USA. In Germany, Bega's native country, it also peaked at #3. In the UK the album peaked only at #50. A Little Bit of Mambo peaked at #1 in the album charts of Austria, Canada, Finland, Hungary, the Middle East, Portugal, and Switzerland. The second single, "I Got a Girl", charted well entering the Top 10 in some European countries including France, Finland and Belgium.

Bega's second studio album "Ladies and Gentlemen# was released on May 28, 2001. Neither, the album nor the singles attained the great commercial success of A Little Bit of Mambo.

His third studio album, Lounatic, was released on May 10, 2005. The first single released was "Bachata" followed by "You Wanna Be Americano" and "Conchita". But none of them was a sucsess....

Remember This?

Evanescence is an American rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1995 by singer/pianist Amy Lee♥ and guitarist Ben Moody.

After recording two private EPs and a demo CD named Origin, with the help of Bigwig Enterprises in 2000, the band released their first full-length album, Fallen, on Wind-up Records in 2003. Fallen sold more than 15 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards. In 2006, the band released their second studio album, The Open Door, which sold more than four million copies.

The band has suffered several line-up changes, including co-founder Moody leaving mid-tour in 2003, bassist Will Boyd in mid-2006, followed by guitarist John LeCompt and drummer Rocky Gray in 2007. The later two of the changes ultimately led the band to be on hiatus with only temporary replacements sought in order for the band to finish touring.

Evanescence's major label debut single "Bring Me to Life" (above), which features guest vocals from Paul McCoy of 12 Stones, was a global hit for the band and reached #5 on the American Billboard Hot 100. It provided Evanescence with their first UK #1 listing, the song also became the official theme for WWE No Way Out 2003. The equally popular "My Immortal" peaked at #7 in the U.S. and UK charts, and both songs were featured in the soundtrack for the action movie Daredevil.

LeToya - "Not Anymore" (Video Premiere)

"Not Anymore" is a song by American R&B singer LeToya Luckett. It was written by Ne-Yo and it was produced by Bei Maejor for her second solo album, "Lady Love".

Letoya is the old member of Destiny's Child. In 1999, the group released their second album, The Writing's on the Wall. The album became one of the biggest selling albums released by a female group, and was certified eight times platinum in the USA. The album spawned four hit singles: "Bills, Bills, Bills", "Bug a Boo", "Say My Name" and "Jumpin' Jumpin'".

In late 1999, in the midst of the group's rising success, Luckett and Roberson sent a letter to their management stating they wanted their own manager because of the increasing lack of communication from the group's manager Mathew Knowles (who is also Beyoncé Knowles' father). The pair said they never wanted to fire Knowles, but they did want to secure outside management to represent them fairly. Soon after, Luckett and Roberson found themselves on the outs with Knowles family and the group they helped create. When the "Say My Name" music video debuted in February 2000, they were shocked to find themselves replaced by two new members, Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin... remember the drama? If you can't remember Letoya in the group I posted the first hit single for Destiny's Child: "No, no, no".

Remember This?

"Killing Me Softly with His Song" is a 1971 song composed by Charles Fox and Norman Gimbel. And the original was first sang by Roberta Flack. Many versions of the song has been made.. but the biggest one was made by the group Fugees. They covered the song in 1996 on their album The Score, with Lauryn Hill singing the lead vocals. Their version became a massive hit reaching number two on the U.S. airplay chart, and had similar success in the UK, reaching number one and selling over a million copies, becoming 1996's best selling single in the country.

The Fugees were a critically-acclaimed New Jersey hip hop group that rose to fame in the mid-1990s, the members of the group are rapper/singer/producer Wyclef Jean, rapper/singer Lauryn Hill, and rapper Pras Michel. Deriving their name from the term refugee, Jean and Michel are Haitian Americans, while Hill is African American. The group recorded two albums — one of which, The Score (1996), was a multi-platinum and Grammy-winning success — before disbanding in 1997. Hill and Jean each went on to successful solo recording careers; Michel focused on soundtrack recordings and acting, though he found commercial success with his song "Ghetto Supastar"...

TRL Cancelled.

Yeah, i know it's old news. But in case you didn't know here is the story of TRL's cancellation. I loved that show...
Having helped launched the careers of everyone from Britney Spears to Fall Out Boy, MTV’s TRL (Total Request Live) enjoyed an impressive run on the network that rarely offers a second season to most shows.

In recent years, the network changed to a more reality based format but TRL held fast despite rumors of cancellation.

This time around the rumors turned out to be true as it was just announced yesterday that fans would see the show’s demise sometime in November.

The Beginning: TRL With Carson Daly
In 1997 MTV began running MTV Live, hosted by VJ Toby Amies, featuring celebrity interviews, musical performances and news updates. At the same time a little known host, named Carson Daly was presenting music videos on a show called Total Request. Daly’s show soon caught on with viewers and after one wildly popular summer the powers that be decided to add the element of live television.

This marked the birth of TRL.

TRL Cancelled
In 2007, rumors began to make their rounds about the pending cancellation of the show. Although ratings had sharply declined, reports are confirming the show still had a decent fan base. After various media outlets began reporting on the rumor, MTV stepped up and said that the show would continue to air for “the foreseeable future.”

According to reports, the producers of TRL began trying the hand at different types of web based viewer interaction but were largely unsuccessful. Whispers about the network replacing TRL with another show called YouRL began to circulate. Their plans were thwarted the new show wasn’t received well by their target audience.

TRL then launched into their new season, which would be their last.

On September 15, 2008, it was officially announced that TRL would air its last episode in November.

“TRL debuted in September 1998 and has since been the go-to show for artists, actors, and celebrities promoting their new project,” said the show’s executive producer.

MTV announced that they would air a 2-hour special celebrating the show’s historic run and influence on popular culture for the final episode.

Madrugada was a Norwegian rock band formed in 1995. "Lift me" (above) was a big hit of theirs and featured Ane Brun. After the death of Burås on July 12, 2007 Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording their latest album. The album, entitled Madrugada, was released on January 21, 2008. After the release of the album the band announced they would split after one last tour... I added lyrics so you can sing along. Happy singing :)

Lift me, lift me from the ground
And don?t ever put me down, oh no
And don’t pick a fight with me
Just flip a coin my love, you’ve won

Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
I don?t care if you don’t want me
I’m yours, I’m yours right now

Our years, are years well spent
We may never find out where they went, oh no
And I don’t mean to fight with you
Now all our troubles and all our struggles they are through

Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
I don?t care if you don’t want me
I’m yours, I’m yours right now

The wolf and the fox
They’re sleeping soundly with the elk and the ox
There’s a starry field around
This lowlit kingdom
Where all our defences are down

Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
Oh Love, slips her hand inside my hand
I don?t care if you don’t want me
I’m yours, I’m yours right now

Wrecked, poor, naked and blind
I’m yours, I’m yours, right now

Remember This?

The video above is from Toploader who released a cover of the song in 2000 and reached the Top Ten in the UK Singles Chart, higher than any previous version. But "Dancing in the Moonlight" was originally from the 1973 King Harvest album. The track was released as a single and it reached #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. They released other singles but these were never able to match the success of "Dancing in the Moonlight". Below is the original song.

The song's first line, "We get it on most every night" is often misheard as "We get it almost every night"

Thin Lizzy's 1977 UK single release - "Dancin' In The Moonlight (It's Caught Me In Its Spotlight)" should not be confused with the King Harvest song, as it is a completely different track.
